Hey everyone, I wanted to start a thread about this because I've been looking around and can't find a solid answer. What is the safest way to talk to strangers sex chat without giving your real number — hoping someone here has actual experience.

I've gone through a few different platforms over the past couple months and honestly the experience varies wildly. Some feel legit, others are just farming you for credit card info from the start. I'd rather hear from people who've actually used these things day to day.

Here's what I'm specifically looking for:

  • Easy to use interface
  • Doesn't require a credit card upfront
  • Has some kind of verification for real users
  • Good privacy settings
  • Active enough to actually find people

Happy to share more details if it helps narrow things down.

I've done a pretty deep dive on this over the past year so I can offer some thoughts.

Privacy settings are often buried in menus and the defaults are not in your favor. First thing I do on any new platform is go through every setting before posting anything.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Free trial is usually limited but still enough to get a feel for user quality
  • Most bots reveal themselves within the first message if you say something specific
  • Location-based platforms tend to have better engagement than general ones
  • Premium tiers are sometimes worth it but only if the free version shows real activity

Currently using Datewander as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.

That's the full picture from where I'm standing. Happy to expand on any of it.

This comes up a lot and I think the answer depends on a few factors. The mainstream apps like Tinder, OkCupid, and Hinge are okay for general dating but not always the best for specific needs. Just my two cents — your experience may vary.

Support quality varies massively. Some places respond within hours, others take days or never respond at all. That alone tells you a lot about how seriously they take their users.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Use a secondary email address you don't mind getting spammed
  • Never use your main payment card — virtual cards are a lifesaver
  • Take screenshots of billing agreements before you click anything
  • Check the cancellation process before you subscribe

Currently using Flurrydate as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a little different.

From what I've seen, the free options are hit or miss. You really have to dig to find anything actually useful.

Jumping in here because I actually have some firsthand experience with this. After trying a bunch of things, Datenest ended up being the most usable for my situation. Happy to dig into any of this further if it's useful.

Not gonna lie, I've been burned by a few of these. Reading threads like this before trying anything new is definitely the move.

Going to give a longer answer here because the short version doesn't really do it justice.

The main thing to watch out for is whether the platform actually verifies its users in any meaningful way. A lot of sites claim to but the reality is very different once you're inside.

Currently using Souldate as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.
