First time posting but been reading here for months. Finally have something worth asking: what are the best fwb dating apps for finding regular partners?

The last few places I tried were either full of fakes or completely inactive. Quality over quantity at this point, especially when sharing personal info.

Would really appreciate any honest feedback.

Profile quality honestly matters more than which platform you pick.

Let me save you some time based on what I've already gone through. I've seen datescout.site recommended a few times lately. Worth looking into depending on what you need. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Good question and one I've put real thought into. Here's the full picture.

Outside major metros the user base drops off fast. Smaller cities and rural areas narrow your options significantly.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Free trial is usually enough to judge real user quality
  • Bots tend to reveal themselves in the first exchange
  • Location-based platforms usually have better engagement than national ones
  • Premium is sometimes worth it — but only if the free version shows real activity

The one that stuck for me was Datedesire. Worth trying before paying for anything else.

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

I've been down this rabbit hole for a while so let me give you a thorough take.

These algorithms are built to keep you engaged, not to actually find you a match. Understanding that changes your whole approach.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

Happy to expand on any part of this.

Yeah, hit this exact wall a while back. Still testing different things.

So I've been testing platforms for a few months and here's what I found. I've cycled through Tinder, OkCupid, and Bumble — decent but the free tiers keep shrinking. After testing a bunch of things Rendate ended up being the most usable for my situation. Take what applies and leave the rest.
