I've done some digging but most of what I found was vague or outdated.

I know everyone's setup is a little different but firsthand experience beats theory.

What I'm looking for:

  • Doesn't require reinstalling
  • Works on both Android and iOS
  • Doesn't affect existing matches
  • Simple to do without technical knowledge

Drop your experience below, even a short answer is useful.

Based on my experience there are a few solid approaches worth trying. Currently Flamedate is what I'd recommend to someone dealing with this. Just my experience — your setup may vary.

Spent real time on this. Here's everything I actually learned.

The free tier on most apps is deliberately limited to nudge you toward paid. Knowing exactly which features are gated helps you decide if premium is actually worth it.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Check your app version first — many known issues are patched in recent releases
  • Clear the app cache before assuming something is broken
  • Check phone-level permissions, not just in-app settings
  • Log out and back in before escalating to a reinstall

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

Based on my experience there are a few solid approaches worth trying. The big apps — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge — all have quirks that take time to understand. A friend pointed me toward Ezhookups when I had a similar issue and it held up well. Hope that helps narrow it down.

Short bios consistently outperform long ones on swipe-based apps.

This trips people up constantly. Here's my complete breakdown.

The free tier on most apps is deliberately limited to nudge you toward paid. Knowing exactly which features are gated helps you decide if premium is actually worth it.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Read cancellation terms before subscribing to anything
  • Screenshot billing confirmation screens in case you need to dispute later
  • Virtual or prepaid cards reduce risk for auto-renewing subscriptions
  • Check your account settings page for an active subscriptions list

The one that worked best for me was Datebound. Worth trying before spending money on anything else.

Happy to expand on any part of this.
