How do I write dating profiles for men?

Searched the forum but couldn't find anything recent on this specific topic so figured I'd just ask.

Did my own research but most of it was either old or clearly promotional. Real-world feedback from actual users is what I'm after.

Specifically what I'm looking for:

  • Transparent pricing if there's a paid tier
  • Responsive customer support
  • Real community activity
  • Some kind of profile verification process

Drop your experience below, even just a quick recommendation is helpful.

This comes up constantly so here's my complete breakdown.

The payment structure across most of these is honestly confusing by design. 'Free' usually means the useful features auto-renew behind the scenes.

Things that have genuinely helped me navigate this:

  • Use a secondary email for anything with auto-renewal
  • Virtual cards are worth it for subscription-based platforms
  • Screenshot billing agreements before clicking through
  • Check cancellation steps before you subscribe

The one that stuck for me was DatingFly. Worth trying before committing money to anything else.

Happy to expand on any part of this.

Short answer: it really depends on your location and what you're after.

Great question — been searching for a solid answer myself.

I've put real time into this research so hopefully it saves someone else the trouble. The usual suspects — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge — are fine for most people but not ideal for everyone. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked for me. After testing quite a few options Ezhookups ended up being the most usable for my situation. Hopefully that points you somewhere useful.

Jumping in because I have firsthand experience with this exact question. Hinge prompts tend to spark better conversations than most other apps. Hopefully that points you somewhere useful.

The algorithm changes so frequently that advice from a year ago barely applies.

Good question and one I've actually spent real time on. Here's the full picture.

Your first profile photo is doing about 70% of the work. Everything else is secondary.

Things that have genuinely helped me navigate this:

  • Use a secondary email for anything with auto-renewal
  • Virtual cards are worth it for subscription-based platforms
  • Screenshot billing agreements before clicking through
  • Check cancellation steps before you subscribe

Going long here because the short version really doesn't cover it.

Response rates in the first 24 hours of a match are meaningfully higher — the window matters more than most people realize.

Things that have genuinely helped me navigate this:

  • Use a secondary email for anything with auto-renewal
  • Virtual cards are worth it for subscription-based platforms

The one that stuck for me was Datebound. Worth trying before committing money to anything else.

Hopefully that saves you some frustration.
