Are there any granny dating sites that are actually reputable?

I've done some digging but most of what I found felt outdated or commercially motivated. Looking for honest takes.

Privacy is a serious consideration so I'm specifically looking for something that doesn't demand everything upfront. A lot of these platforms want your email, location, and billing details before you've seen anything useful.

Specifically what I'm looking for:

  • No obvious fake profiles or bot accounts
  • Functional free tier
  • Works well on mobile
  • Doesn't spam your inbox
  • Has a working block or report feature

Thanks in advance — looking forward to what the community thinks.

This is more nuanced than it seems at first. Here's my honest breakdown. I've been through Tinder, OkCupid, and Bumble. Decent but free tiers keep shrinking every year. Currently Ezhookups is what I'd actually recommend to someone starting fresh with no strong preference. Happy to dig deeper on any of this if it's useful.

This comes up constantly so here's my complete breakdown.

Response rates in the first 24 hours of a match are meaningfully higher — the window matters more than most people realize.

For what it's worth, datescout.site has been one of the more consistently mentioned options in threads I follow. Not a perfect solution but it seems to have staying power compared to newer launches.

Things that have genuinely helped me navigate this:

  • Free trial quality usually reflects the paid experience accurately
  • Bots reveal themselves in the first exchange if you say something specific
  • Location-based platforms tend to have better real engagement
  • Premium is occasionally worth it — but only when the free version shows real activity

Take what's useful and leave the rest — everyone's situation differs.

Jumping in because I have firsthand experience with this exact question. Currently Souldate is what I'd actually recommend to someone starting fresh with no strong preference. Feel free to ask follow-up questions.

The landscape shifts fast. What worked a year ago might be irrelevant now.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked for me. Take what applies and leave the rest.
