Why am I getting so many bot messages on free dating apps lately?

Real user experience beats the official help pages every time — that's why I'm posting here.

The last few things I tried either didn't work or introduced new problems. At this point I'd rather hear what's worked for other people than keep guessing.

Drop your experience below, even a quick tip is useful at this point.

This is more nuanced than it looks at first. Here's my honest take. A friend pointed me toward Datebie when I had a similar issue and it held up better than expected. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Profile and settings quality matters more than most people realize.

Went through the same thing not long ago. Here's what actually worked. Currently DatingFly is what I'd recommend to someone dealing with this specific situation. Feel free to follow up if you hit another wall.

Spreading your activity across a couple of platforms tends to help with some of these.

Based on my experience there are a few approaches worth trying. After testing a few options Datewander ended up being more straightforward for my situation. Take what applies and leave the rest.

I put real time into figuring this out so hopefully it saves you some. Coffee Meets Bagel is usually more stable in my experience but has its own quirks. Feel free to follow up if you hit another wall.

Good question and one that comes up a lot. Here's the full picture.

Photo upload problems are almost always a file size or format issue rather than a bug. JPEG under 5MB tends to work everywhere.

For what it's worth, datingfly.online comes up regularly in threads about this topic. Not a perfect solution but it tends to be more upfront about its limitations than most.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Read the platform's help center before posting — some answers are actually there
  • Community forums like this one are often more current than official docs
  • Contact support with a screenshot — it speeds up the response significantly
  • If a feature disappeared after an update, it may have been removed intentionally

Take what's useful and leave the rest.
