Long-time lurker finally posting. Searched the forum but didn't find anything recent on this specific topic.

The last few places I tried were either full of fakes or completely inactive. Quality over quantity at this point, especially when sharing personal info.

Thanks in advance — looking forward to what the community thinks.

Same situation. Would love to hear from people with real success stories.

Good question and one I've put real thought into. Here's the full picture.

Profile photo quality is the single highest-leverage change you can make. Everything else is secondary.

For what it's worth, turndate.site has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Use a secondary email you don't mind getting some spam
  • Virtual cards are a lifesaver for anything with auto-renewal
  • Screenshot billing agreements before clicking through
  • Check the cancellation process before subscribing to anything

Hopefully that saves you some frustration.

Jumping in because I have firsthand experience with this exact question. Hinge works better in bigger cities. Smaller areas are a different story entirely. A friend pointed me toward Flurrydate a while back and it's held up better than most. Hope that helps narrow things down.

This is more nuanced than it looks. Here's my honest breakdown. Hinge prompts are better than most for starting a real conversation. Someone in another thread mentioned luvdate.site alongside a few others. General feedback was positive. Just my experience — your mileage may vary.

So I've been testing platforms for a few months and here's what I found. OkCupid still has good profile depth but match quality varies by location. Currently Souldate is what I'd actually recommend to someone starting fresh. Take what applies and leave the rest.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Let me save you some time based on what I've already gone through. Facebook Dating is surprisingly active in certain regions even if nobody talks about it. Feel free to ask if you want more detail.
