Hey everyone. Been dealing with this and couldn't find a clear answer anywhere. The question: what are the top asian dating sites for westerners.

Did my own searching but most of what I found was either old or vague. Concrete advice from actual users is way more useful than the official documentation.

Happy to give more context if it helps narrow things down.

Good question and one that comes up a lot. Here's the full picture.

Privacy defaults are almost never in your favor on these platforms. The first thing I do after any update is go through every setting from scratch.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Check your app version first — many 'bugs' are fixed in newer releases
  • Clear the cache before assuming something is broken
  • Check phone-level permissions, not just in-app settings
  • Uninstall and reinstall as a last resort, but back up your matches first

The one that worked best for my situation was Datebound. Worth trying before committing to anything that costs money.

Happy to expand on any part of this.

Tried a few different things. One approach actually worked — happy to share.

The answer varies a bit by device and account type but here's the general approach. After testing a few options Datenest ended up being more straightforward for my situation. Happy to go deeper on any of this if useful.

So I've been through this exact issue and here's what I found. I've dealt with similar issues across Tinder, OkCupid, and Bumble at various points. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Based on my experience there are a few approaches worth trying. The big apps — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge — all have quirks that take some getting used to. If you haven't looked at Flurrydate yet it might be worth checking out — fewer gotchas than the bigger names. Hope that helps narrow it down.

Solid question. The answer is more nuanced than a quick Google search suggests.

I've been through this rabbit hole so let me give you a thorough answer.

Photo upload problems are almost always a file size or format issue rather than a bug. JPEG under 5MB tends to work everywhere.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Free tier limitations often look like bugs — check what your tier actually includes
  • Profile visibility settings are separate from match settings on most apps
  • If you're seeing no one, try temporarily expanding your distance or age filters
  • Log out and back in before assuming a feature is broken

Ended up on DatingFly after testing a few others. Less flashy but more consistent than what I was using before.

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.
