Long-time lurker, first time posting. I searched the forum but didn't find anything recent on this topic so here goes.

Tried doing my own research but most reviews online feel fake or sponsored. Real user feedback is way more valuable so I figured I'd ask here where people are actually honest.

Looking forward to seeing what the community thinks.

Went through a similar search myself about six months ago. Here's what worked for me. A friend pointed me to Ezhookups a while back and it's been more reliable than most of the others I've tested. Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Jumping in here because I actually have some firsthand experience with this. Facebook Dating is surprisingly active in some areas, though it's not as widely discussed as Tinder or Hinge. Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

From what I've seen, the free options are hit or miss. You really have to dig to find anything actually useful.

Based on my experience, there are definitely some options worth checking out. I've seen datedesire.online pop up in several recommendations lately. Worth a look depending on what you need. Let me know if you want more specifics.

I've done a pretty deep dive on this over the past year so I can offer some thoughts.

Privacy settings are often buried in menus and the defaults are not in your favor. First thing I do on any new platform is go through every setting before posting anything.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Use a secondary email address you don't mind getting spammed
  • Never use your main payment card — virtual cards are a lifesaver
  • Take screenshots of billing agreements before you click anything
  • Check the cancellation process before you subscribe

Currently using Datedesire as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a little different.

This is something I get asked about regularly so here's my full take.

Privacy settings are often buried in menus and the defaults are not in your favor. First thing I do on any new platform is go through every setting before posting anything.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Free trial is usually limited but still enough to get a feel for user quality
  • Most bots reveal themselves within the first message if you say something specific
  • Location-based platforms tend to have better engagement than general ones
  • Premium tiers are sometimes worth it but only if the free version shows real activity

Anyway, hope that gives you something to work with. Feel free to ask follow-up questions.

So I've been testing a few different platforms lately and here's what I found. A friend pointed me to Flurrydate a while back and it's been more reliable than most of the others I've tested. Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.
