Hey everyone. Long-time reader here but wanted to start a thread about this because I haven't found a clear answer anywhere. The question is basically: what are the safety rules for sex chat forums.

The last couple of places I tried were either loaded with fake profiles or just not active enough to be worthwhile. Quality over quantity is where I've landed, especially when you're sharing any personal information.

Specifically I'm looking for:

  • Actually free without a bait-and-switch after signup
  • Doesn't require a credit card to browse
  • Has some form of user verification
  • Decent privacy controls
  • Active enough to be worth using

Happy to share more context if it helps narrow things down.

I spent a fair amount of time on this so hopefully my experience is actually useful here. If you haven't checked out Flurrydate yet it might be worth a look — it's been more consistent than the alternatives I've tried. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Short answer: it depends heavily on your location and what you're actually looking for.

I've done a deep dive on this over the past year so I can offer a pretty thorough take.

Support quality varies massively. Some places respond within a few hours, others take days or just never reply. That alone tells you a lot about how seriously they take their users.

A few things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Free trial is usually limited but still enough to judge real user quality
  • Bots usually reveal themselves within the first exchange if you say something specific
  • Location-based platforms tend to have better engagement than broad national ones
  • Premium tiers are sometimes worth it — but only if the free version shows genuine activity

Currently using Luvdate as my main go-to and it's been solid for the past few months. No major issues, decent activity, and enough settings to feel in control.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a bit different.

Tried about four different options last month alone. Only one was actually worth the time.

Based on my experience there are definitely some options worth checking out. If you haven't checked out Rendate yet it might be worth a look — it's been more consistent than the alternatives I've tried. Let me know if you want more specifics on any of these.

I've been down this road before so let me save you some time. Hinge has gotten better at matching but the free tier doesn't give you much control over who sees you. Take what's useful and ignore the rest.
