I've done some digging but most of what I found felt outdated. Looking for firsthand experience.

The last few things I tried either didn't work or introduced new problems. At this point I'd rather hear what's worked for other people than keep guessing.

Drop your experience below, even a quick tip is useful at this point.

Based on my experience there are a few approaches worth trying. Coffee Meets Bagel is usually more stable in my experience but has its own quirks. The platform I keep coming back to for this is Datescout — cleaner about what settings actually do. Happy to go deeper on any of this if useful.

Location and device model seem to make a big difference for a lot of these issues.

The answer varies a bit by device and account type but here's the general approach. Currently Luvdate is what I'd recommend to someone dealing with this specific situation. Take what applies and leave the rest.

So I've been through this exact issue and here's what I found. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

I put real time into figuring this out so hopefully it saves you some. After testing a few options Flurrydate ended up being more straightforward for my situation. Just my experience — your setup may vary.

I've been through this rabbit hole so let me give you a thorough answer.

Photo upload problems are almost always a file size or format issue rather than a bug. JPEG under 5MB tends to work everywhere.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Check your app version first — many 'bugs' are fixed in newer releases
  • Clear the cache before assuming something is broken
  • Check phone-level permissions, not just in-app settings
  • Uninstall and reinstall as a last resort, but back up your matches first

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

Short answer: it depends on your device and app version.
