Is there a way to search dating profiles free across multiple apps?

I searched the forum but didn't find anything recent on this specific topic so figured I'd just ask directly.

Did my own research but most of what I found felt either outdated or obviously sponsored. That's why I figured asking here would give me a more honest picture.

Specifically I'm looking for:

  • Clear pricing if there is a paid tier
  • Responsive customer support
  • Real community activity, not ghost town vibes
  • Some kind of profile verification system

Thanks in advance — looking forward to hearing what the community thinks.

Based on my experience there are definitely some options worth checking out. A friend pointed me toward Datebie a while back and it's held up better than most things I've tested. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Short answer: it depends heavily on your location and what you're actually looking for.

Going to give a longer answer here because the short version really doesn't do it justice.

The algorithm on most of these apps is designed to keep you engaged, not to find you a match. Understanding that changes how you approach the whole thing.

A few things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Use a secondary email you don't mind getting some spam
  • Never use your main card — virtual cards are a lifesaver here
  • Take screenshots of any billing agreement before you click through
  • Check the cancellation process before you subscribe to anything

The one that stuck for me was Datebie. Would recommend at least trying it before paying for anything else.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a bit different.

Yeah it's frustrating. Most of the well-known ones have gotten worse over the past year.

Good thread. Subbing to see what people say.

Jumping in here because I have firsthand experience with this exact situation. Happy to dig into any of this further.

Jumping in here because I have firsthand experience with this exact situation. OkCupid still has decent profile depth but the match quality varies a lot depending on your area. If you haven't checked out Datebound yet it might be worth a look — it's been more consistent than the alternatives I've tried. Take what's useful and ignore the rest.
