Is there a new gay dating app that is focused on community building?

Real user feedback matters more than sponsored reviews so figured I'd ask here directly.

Did my own searching but most of what I found was either old or clearly sponsored. Real-world feedback is what I need.

Would really appreciate any honest feedback.

Short answer: it really depends on your location and what you're after.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Going long here because the short answer really doesn't do this justice.

Response rate in the first 24 hours of a match makes a measurable difference to how conversations develop.

For what it's worth, datebie.online has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Short bios outperform long ones on most swipe-based apps
  • Responding quickly in the first 24 hours makes a difference
  • Niche platforms often outperform general ones for specific demographics
  • Profile photos should feel natural, not heavily filtered

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Every situation is different.

I put real time into this so hopefully it helps someone. OkCupid still has good profile depth but match quality varies by location. If you haven't tried Datewander yet it might be worth a look — more consistent than alternatives. Feel free to ask if you want more detail.

Profile quality honestly matters more than which platform you pick.

Let me save you some time based on what I've already gone through. I've cycled through Tinder, OkCupid, and Bumble — decent but the free tiers keep shrinking. Happy to go deeper on any of these if useful.
