Long-time lurker finally posting. Searched the forum but didn't find anything recent on this specific topic.

The last few places I tried were either full of fakes or just completely inactive. Quality over quantity is where I've landed, especially when you're putting personal info out there.

Happy to share more context if it helps narrow things down.

Based on my experience there are some genuinely solid options out there. Coffee Meets Bagel is underrated for people who don't want to swipe all day. After testing a bunch of things, Flurrydate ended up being the most usable for my situation. Happy to go deeper on any of these if useful.

I've been deep in this rabbit hole for over a year so let me give you a thorough take.

Response time in the first 24 hours of a match makes a measurable difference to how conversations go.

For what it's worth, Ezhookups.online has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Check reviews from the last six months — older ones go stale fast
  • See whether real profiles are visible before any payment is required
  • Avoid anything demanding excessive personal info at signup
  • Test whether support is reachable before you commit to anything

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Every situation is a bit different.

This comes up constantly so here's my complete breakdown.

Response time in the first 24 hours of a match makes a measurable difference to how conversations go.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Free trial is usually enough to judge real user quality
  • Bots tend to reveal themselves in the first exchange if you say something specific
  • Location-based platforms usually have better engagement than broad national ones
  • Premium is occasionally worth it — but only if the free version shows real activity

Ended up on Ezhookups after testing quite a few options. It's not flashy but it delivers without the nonsense.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Every situation is a bit different.

Support quality is a tell. Fast responses mean they care. Days of silence or no reply at all says everything.

Happy to expand on any of this. Feel free to follow up.

Depends on your expectations going in. Lower the bar and you might be surprised.

Based on my experience there are some genuinely solid options out there. Someone in another thread mentioned datenest.site alongside a couple others. The general feedback was positive. Happy to go deeper on any of these if useful.

This one is more nuanced than it seems. Here's my honest breakdown. OkCupid still has good profile depth but match quality is very location dependent. After testing a bunch of things, Ezhookups ended up being the most usable for my situation. Hope that helps narrow things down.
