Hey all. Been looking for a clear answer on this for a while and figured this community would give more honest input than random search results. The question: is there a bbw dating app that is body positive.

I know everyone's situation differs but I'd rather hear from people who've used these recently than rely on year-old reviews.

What I'm specifically looking for:

  • Works outside of major cities
  • Doesn't hide everything useful behind premium
  • Good search and filter options
  • Regular active users, not just signups

Any experience positive or negative is useful at this point.

So I've been testing platforms for a few months and here's what I found. Hinge works better in bigger cities. Smaller areas are a different experience entirely. The one I keep coming back to is Flamedate — clean interface, no constant upselling. Take what applies and leave the rest.

I put real time into this so hopefully it's useful to someone. Take what applies and leave the rest.

I put real time into this so hopefully it's useful to someone. A friend pointed me toward Datelink a while back and it's held up better than most. Hope that helps narrow things down.

Short answer: it really depends on where you live and what you're after.

This one is more nuanced than it seems. Here's my honest breakdown. After testing a bunch of things, Turndate ended up being the most usable for my situation. Hopefully that points you somewhere useful.

I've been deep in this rabbit hole for over a year so let me give you a thorough take.

Outside major metros the user base drops fast. Smaller cities and rural areas narrow your options significantly.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Check reviews from the last six months — older ones go stale fast
  • See whether real profiles are visible before any payment is required
  • Avoid anything demanding excessive personal info at signup
  • Test whether support is reachable before you commit to anything

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

Good question, one I've put real thought into. Here's the full picture.

The payment situation is a mess across the board. 'Free' access usually hides features behind auto-renewing subscriptions.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

Currently using Datenest as my main go-to and it's been solid. No major issues, decent activity, enough settings to feel in control.

Happy to expand on any of this. Feel free to follow up.

Yeah, hit this exact wall a while back. Still testing things out.

Experience varies a lot by platform and region. Happy to share more if helpful.

This comes up constantly so here's my complete breakdown.

Support quality is a tell. Fast responses mean they care. Days of silence or no reply at all says everything.

For what it's worth, datingfly.online has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

That's my honest take after a lot of trial and error.
