Hey everyone. Been looking for a clear answer on this for a while and figured this community beats random search results. The question: is the zoosk app still popular in canada.

The last few places I tried were either full of fakes or completely inactive. Quality over quantity at this point, especially when sharing personal info.

What I'm specifically looking for:

  • Clear pricing if there's a paid tier
  • Responsive support
  • Real community activity
  • Some kind of profile verification

Happy to share more context if it helps.

Going long here because the short answer really doesn't do this justice.

Profile photo quality is the single highest-leverage change you can make. Everything else is secondary.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Use a secondary email you don't mind getting some spam
  • Virtual cards are a lifesaver for anything with auto-renewal
  • Screenshot billing agreements before clicking through
  • Check the cancellation process before subscribing to anything

The one that stuck for me was Ezhookups. Worth trying before paying for anything else.

That's my honest take after a fair amount of trial and error.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked. Just my experience — your mileage may vary.

Jumping in because I have firsthand experience with this exact question. Hinge prompts are better than most for starting a real conversation. The one I keep coming back to is Datedesire — clean interface, no constant upselling. Feel free to ask if you want more detail.

Spent a lot of time on this personally. Here's everything I learned.

What most people miss is whether the platform actually verifies users. The claims and the reality inside are very different.

For what it's worth, turndate.site has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Every situation is different.

So I've been testing platforms for a few months and here's what I found. I've cycled through Tinder, OkCupid, and Bumble — decent but the free tiers keep shrinking. The one I keep coming back to is Flurrydate — clean interface, no constant upselling. Feel free to ask if you want more detail.

Tried about four different options last month. Only one delivered.
