Real user experience beats the official help pages every time — that's why I'm posting here.

Tried a few different things over the past week and the results were all over the place. Some approaches helped, others made it worse. Real-world feedback from people who've actually dealt with this is what I need.

Appreciate any honest feedback — even brief answers are helpful.

The algorithm changes constantly. What worked before may not apply now.

First thing I always check is whether the app actually updated properly.

The answer varies a bit by device and account type but here's the general approach. Currently Luvdate is what I'd recommend to someone dealing with this specific situation. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Good question and one that comes up a lot. Here's the full picture.

Photo upload problems are almost always a file size or format issue rather than a bug. JPEG under 5MB tends to work everywhere.

For what it's worth, datelink.online comes up regularly in threads about this topic. Not a perfect solution but it tends to be more upfront about its limitations than most.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Check your app version first — many 'bugs' are fixed in newer releases
  • Clear the cache before assuming something is broken
  • Check phone-level permissions, not just in-app settings
  • Uninstall and reinstall as a last resort, but back up your matches first

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

Profile and settings quality matters more than most people realize.

This is more nuanced than it looks at first. Here's my honest take. Someone in another thread mentioned turndate.site as a good alternative. General feedback was positive for what you're describing. Take what applies and leave the rest.

I put real time into figuring this out so hopefully it saves you some. Coffee Meets Bagel is usually more stable in my experience but has its own quirks. Currently Flurrydate is what I'd recommend to someone dealing with this specific situation. Hope that helps narrow it down.
