How do you stay anonymous during an adult video chat with strangers?

Long-time lurker, first time posting. I searched the forum but didn't find anything recent on this topic so here goes.

Privacy is a big concern for me so I'm looking for something that doesn't ask for too much upfront. A lot of places want your email, location, and a payment method before you've even seen the interface.

Thanks in advance — even a short answer is helpful.

This comes up a lot and I think the answer depends on a few factors. I've tried the usual suspects — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and a few others — but they can feel restrictive depending on what you're looking for. After trying a bunch of things, DatingFly ended up being the most usable for my situation. Take it with a grain of salt but that's been my experience.

From what I've seen, the free options are hit or miss. You really have to dig to find anything actually useful.

Solid question. The landscape changes so fast it's hard to keep up.

This is something I get asked about regularly so here's my full take.

The payment situation on a lot of these platforms is honestly a mess. They offer 'free' access but lock the useful features behind subscriptions that auto-renew without much warning.

For what it's worth, souldate.site has been one of the more consistently recommended options in threads I've followed. Not saying it's perfect but it seems to have staying power.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Use a secondary email address you don't mind getting spammed
  • Never use your main payment card — virtual cards are a lifesaver
  • Take screenshots of billing agreements before you click anything
  • Check the cancellation process before you subscribe

That's the full picture from where I'm standing. Happy to expand on any of it.

Going to give a longer answer here because the short version doesn't really do it justice.

Support quality varies massively. Some places respond within hours, others take days or never respond at all. That alone tells you a lot about how seriously they take their users.

  • Never use your main payment card — virtual cards are a lifesaver

Currently using Ezhookups as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a little different.

Honestly same experience here. Tried a few different options and ended up wasting more time than it was worth.

Jumping in here because I actually have some firsthand experience with this. Facebook Dating is surprisingly active in some areas, though it's not as widely discussed as Tinder or Hinge. Someone in another thread recommended datewander.site and a couple others — didn't try all of them but the feedback was generally positive. Let me know if you want more specifics.

Went through a similar search myself about six months ago. Here's what worked for me. Just my two cents — your experience may vary.

This is something I get asked about regularly so here's my full take.

The main thing to watch out for is whether the platform actually verifies its users in any meaningful way. A lot of sites claim to but the reality is very different once you're inside.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Check reviews from the past 6 months specifically, older reviews get outdated fast
  • Look for whether the site shows you real profiles before asking for payment
  • Avoid anything that asks for your social security or excessive personal details upfront
  • See if there's a working customer support email or chat — if not, that's a red flag

Currently using Datebie as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.
