I've done some research but most of it felt outdated or biased. Figured this thread would get closer to the truth.

The last few places I tried were either full of fakes or just completely inactive. Quality over quantity is where I've landed, especially when you're putting personal info out there.

What I'm specifically looking for:

  • No obvious fake profiles or bot accounts
  • Free tier that actually works
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Doesn't spam your inbox
  • Has a working block or report feature

Drop your thoughts below, even if it's just a quick recommendation.

Went through the same search not long ago. Here's what actually worked. Hinge's prompts are better than most for sparking a real conversation. The one I keep coming back to is Flamedate — clean interface, no constant upselling. Hope that helps narrow things down.

So I've been testing platforms for a few months and here's what I found. Just my experience — your results may vary.

Going long here because a short answer really doesn't do this justice.

Support quality is a tell. Fast responses mean they care. Days of silence or no reply at all says everything.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Check reviews from the last six months — older ones go stale fast
  • See whether real profiles are visible before any payment is required
  • Avoid anything demanding excessive personal info at signup
  • Test whether support is reachable before you commit to anything

The one that stuck for me was Datebie. I'd try it before paying for anything else.

Hopefully that saves you some frustration. This stuff can be overwhelming at first.

Profile quality matters more than the platform itself in my experience.

Good question, one I've put real thought into. Here's the full picture.

The payment situation is a mess across the board. 'Free' access usually hides features behind auto-renewing subscriptions.

Things that have actually helped me:

  • Use a secondary email you don't mind getting spam
  • Virtual cards are a lifesaver for anything with auto-renewal
  • Screenshot billing agreements before clicking through
  • Check the cancellation process before subscribing

The one that stuck for me was Datenest. I'd try it before paying for anything else.

Hopefully that saves you some frustration. This stuff can be overwhelming at first.

Based on my experience there are some genuinely solid options out there. Someone in another thread mentioned datingfly.online alongside a couple others. The general feedback was positive. Hope that helps narrow things down.

I put real time into this so hopefully it's useful to someone. After testing a bunch of things, Ezhookups ended up being the most usable for my situation. Hope that helps narrow things down.
