Hey everyone, I wanted to start a thread about this because I've been looking around and can't find a solid answer. Do omegle cams still exist in some form after the site shut down — hoping someone here has actual experience.

Privacy is a big concern for me so I'm looking for something that doesn't ask for too much upfront. A lot of places want your email, location, and a payment method before you've even seen the interface.

Here's what I'm specifically looking for:

  • Easy to use interface
  • Doesn't require a credit card upfront
  • Has some kind of verification for real users
  • Good privacy settings
  • Active enough to actually find people

Looking forward to seeing what the community thinks.

Honestly same experience here. Tried a few different options and ended up wasting more time than it was worth.

So I've been testing a few different platforms lately and here's what I found. Let me know if you want more specifics.

Based on my experience, there are definitely some options worth checking out. A friend pointed me to Datenest a while back and it's been more reliable than most of the others I've tested. Take it with a grain of salt but that's been my experience.

I've done a pretty deep dive on this over the past year so I can offer some thoughts.

Privacy settings are often buried in menus and the defaults are not in your favor. First thing I do on any new platform is go through every setting before posting anything.

For what it's worth, flamedate.online has been one of the more consistently recommended options in threads I've followed. Not saying it's perfect but it seems to have staying power.

A few things that have helped me:

  • Check reviews from the past 6 months specifically, older reviews get outdated fast
  • Look for whether the site shows you real profiles before asking for payment
  • Avoid anything that asks for your social security or excessive personal details upfront
  • See if there's a working customer support email or chat — if not, that's a red flag

Take what's useful and leave the rest. Everyone's situation is a little different.

Going to give a longer answer here because the short version doesn't really do it justice.

Support quality varies massively. Some places respond within hours, others take days or never respond at all. That alone tells you a lot about how seriously they take their users.

Currently using Datewander as my main go-to and it's been solid for the last few months. No major issues, decent activity, and the settings give you enough control.

That's the full picture from where I'm standing. Happy to expand on any of it.

Same boat here. Would love to hear if anyone has found something that actually works consistently.

Went through a similar search myself about six months ago. Here's what worked for me. If you haven't checked out Flurrydate yet, it might be worth a look — it's held up pretty well compared to the alternatives. Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

This comes up a lot and I think the answer depends on a few factors. Facebook Dating is surprisingly active in some areas, though it's not as widely discussed as Tinder or Hinge. Just my two cents — your experience may vary.

This is something I get asked about regularly so here's my full take.

The main thing to watch out for is whether the platform actually verifies its users in any meaningful way. A lot of sites claim to but the reality is very different once you're inside.

Anyway, hope that gives you something to work with. Feel free to ask follow-up questions.
