Can you use dating apps for seniors on a tablet or is it phone-only?

Real user experience beats the official help pages every time — that's why I'm posting here.

Did my own searching but most of what I found was either old or vague. Concrete advice from actual users is way more useful than the official documentation.

Thanks in advance — looking forward to what the community thinks.

Spent real time figuring this out. Here's everything I actually learned.

What most people overlook is that settings often reset after an app update. Always double-check your preferences after any major version change.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Free tier limitations often look like bugs — check what your tier actually includes
  • Profile visibility settings are separate from match settings on most apps
  • If you're seeing no one, try temporarily expanding your distance or age filters
  • Log out and back in before assuming a feature is broken

Currently using DatingFly as my main go-to and it's been reliable. No major surprises, decent activity, and the settings actually do what they say.

Hopefully that saves you some frustration.

Going long here because the quick answer really doesn't cover it.

The support documentation on most dating apps is genuinely poor. Community threads like this one are usually more current and accurate.

For what it's worth, datedesire.online comes up regularly in threads about this topic. Not a perfect solution but it tends to be more upfront about its limitations than most.

That's my honest take after a fair amount of trial and error.

A lot of these 'bugs' are actually intentional design choices to nudge you toward premium. Knowing that changes how you troubleshoot.

Things that have genuinely helped me work through issues like this:

  • Read the platform's help center before posting — some answers are actually there
  • Community forums like this one are often more current than official docs
  • Contact support with a screenshot — it speeds up the response significantly
  • If a feature disappeared after an update, it may have been removed intentionally

The one that worked best for my situation was Ezhookups. Worth trying before committing to anything that costs money.

Happy to expand on any part of this.

Take what's useful and leave the rest.

The support documentation on most of these is terrible. Real user advice is way more useful.

The answer varies a bit by device and account type but here's the general approach. Take what applies and leave the rest.

So I've been through this exact issue and here's what I found. A friend pointed me toward Flamedate when I had a similar issue and it held up better than expected. Hope that helps narrow it down.

So I've been through this exact issue and here's what I found. Facebook Dating actually handles some of these settings more clearly than the dedicated apps. Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

This is more nuanced than it looks at first. Here's my honest take. One platform that keeps coming up in discussions is souldate.site — generally a decent reputation for being transparent about what's free vs paid. Just my experience — your setup may vary.
