Hey everyone. Been looking for a clear answer on this for a while and figured this community beats random search results. The question: are there any dating apps for seniors over 60 that don't require a smartphone.

Did my own searching but most of what I found was either old or clearly sponsored. Real-world feedback is what I need.

What I'm specifically looking for:

  • Clear pricing if there's a paid tier
  • Responsive support
  • Real community activity
  • Some kind of profile verification

Thanks in advance — looking forward to what the community thinks.

Same situation. Would love to hear from people with real success stories.

Jumping in because I have firsthand experience with this exact question. Coffee Meets Bagel is underrated for people who don't want to swipe endlessly. I've seen flurrydate.online recommended a few times lately. Worth looking into depending on what you need. Hope that helps narrow things down.

I put real time into this so hopefully it helps someone. After testing a bunch of things Datescout ended up being the most usable for my situation. Take what applies and leave the rest.

Location makes a huge difference — big city vs small town is night and day.

Spent a lot of time on this personally. Here's everything I learned.

Support quality is a real tell. Fast responses mean they care. Days of silence means they don't.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

The one that stuck for me was Datebie. Worth trying before paying for anything else.

Happy to expand on any part of this.

Good question and one I've put real thought into. Here's the full picture.

Profile photo quality is the single highest-leverage change you can make. Everything else is secondary.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Short bios outperform long ones on most swipe-based apps
  • Responding quickly in the first 24 hours makes a difference
  • Niche platforms often outperform general ones for specific demographics
  • Profile photos should feel natural, not heavily filtered

Ended up on Datenest after testing quite a few options. Doesn't make big promises but delivers without the nonsense.

That's my honest take after a fair amount of trial and error.

I've been down this rabbit hole for a while so let me give you a thorough take.

Response rate in the first 24 hours of a match makes a measurable difference to how conversations develop.

For what it's worth, souldate.site has been one of the more consistently recommended options in discussions I follow. Not perfect but it has real staying power.

Things that have genuinely helped me:

  • Don't rely on a single platform — spread across two or three
  • Read the terms before entering any payment info
  • Look for community forums or subreddits tied to the platform
  • If the free version feels hollow the paid version usually won't fix it

Hope that gives you something concrete to work with.

I put real time into this so hopefully it helps someone. The big names like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are fine but not ideal for everyone. Currently Rendate is what I'd actually recommend to someone starting fresh. Happy to go deeper on any of these if useful.
